This Elton John Red Piano is a model C7 (7’ 6”) (DC7M4t EJ.) It has an unusual bright red high gloss finish and has a brass plaque on the fallboard saying it’s an Elton John Special Signature Series Red Piano, Edition A, Unit 8 of 30.
This special series came out around 2005 or 2006, in conjunction with Elton John’s Red Piano show at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas. Elton John had a special model red Yamaha grand made specially for his “Red Piano” show by the manufacturer, and they also spun off a series of “special edition” replicas of this red piano, for the buying public.
