Laws Relating to Piano Movers
Movers who transport used pianos within the State of California are required by law to have a state license from the Public Utilities Commision for moving Household Goods. The following laws apply to piano movers:

Movers who move new pianos from a dealer's showroom to a private party home within the State of California, are required to have a special license from the Department of Motor Vehicles. Copies of the Vehicle Code that applies to piano movers engaged in these activities are listed below:
